Some people are just happier when they’re sad. It’s strange to actually understand that concept, but so are people as a whole. There’s a certain kind of addiction to a particular state of sadness that drives a person to go back to it, again and again, despite how detrimental it may be. Maybe it’s comforting, in a twisted way, or maybe more so because that particular sadness is something that is familiar. Familiarity is important, even if its attached to negativity, which it often is. It may seem masochistic, but for some this is the “normal” state that they have known even if society deems it as odd. People classified this as a mental disability, and I believe that every man is entitled to their opinion. You can’t expect everyone to understand.
