The sad truth is that nobody really cares. They don’t pay much attention when your disappearances are more often. They don’t notice that you are more silent than the usual, or that you’re out of focus, or that your mind is somewhere far, far away. You start to eat less. You stay in bed more than ever, whether you’re sleeping for days or you’re awake for days. You avoid people, even the ones you usually talk to on a daily basis. You contemplate death, uttering it here and there, and everybody thinks that you’re just joking. You just stop, and everything else still continues on.

The signs are all there for anyone willing to notice. And yet, nothing. Everybody starts caring when it’s too late.
