If you were to ask me, falling in love can either be a blessing or a curse. One moment you’re at the top of the world on cloud nine painstakingly loving every bit of it, and then the next you’re in the rock bottom broken in pieces as you wonder what went wrong. It just can’t be helped. You can't help but wonder. Love is like any other part of life. You have to take chances if you’re willing to go anywhere. No pain, no gain. It won’t always be successful, but you can’t give up. If you fall, you just need to pick yourself up and be brave enough to continue pressing forward because the reward at the end. It will be worth it.
Isn’t it hilarious how meaningless and nonsensical love songs seem to be when you’re not in love? And yet the moment that you start to feel that intimate connection with someone, all the lyrics start to slowly make sense inch by inch and beat by beat. In truth I find it a pain in the ass. Having that one person constantly running through your head day and night, infinitely even in the wilderness of your dreams. The carefree days slowly come to an end and all you’re left with are worries and hesitation, but maybe that’s just me.
There’s at least one, right? One person who will show you the true side of falling in love. One person who will show you what you’ve been missing out. There will always be that one person who will make the butterflies in your stomach memorable. There will be that one person who will utter the words “You don’t have to worry.” Because every single thing is just alright. One who doesn’t see you as just another face in the crowd, and is willing to go the extra mile just to be with you. There’s always one person who holds you in high regard. One who smiles at the very thought of you and grows ecstatic in your presence. In their eyes you’re the very epitome of perfection and rarely will they ever take notice of the flaws that you hold, but that’s love for you. Somewhere out there you’re the most important person in someone’s life, and they love you just the way you are.
Not that I’m speaking out of a mere experience or anything..
I suppose love has just never been my forte. Or maybe I just don’t see it, but someone somewhere in the universe sees it in me.
